助推光學放(fang)大(da)(da)器(BOA)是單程行波放(fang)大(da)(da)器,在單色和多波長信號下都(dou)可(ke)以(yi)很好地工作(zuo)。由于BOA只放(fang)大(da)(da)一(yi)種偏(pian)(pian)振態,它們適(shi)合(he)輸入光偏(pian)(pian)振態已(yi)知(zhi)的應(ying)用(yong)(yong)。BOA由GaAs/InGaAS量子阱(QW)層結(jie)構(gou)組成(cheng),設計(ji)用(yong)(yong)于放(fang)大(da)(da)1050 nm波段的偏(pian)(pian)振光學信號,也可(ke)以(yi)用(yong)(yong)作(zuo)組成(cheng)寬帶寬可(ke)調(diao)諧激光器的增益介(jie)質。
如(ru)原(yuan)理圖,放(fang)大(da)器(qi)的輸(shu)入和(he)輸(shu)出是和(he)光(guang)(guang)放(fang)大(da)器(qi)芯片(pian)上可(ke)靠的脊形波導相(xiang)耦(ou)合的。器(qi)件在標準的14引腳蝶形封裝(zhuang)里(li),其中還(huan)有帶FC/APC接頭末端的單模光(guang)(guang)纖(xian)(xian)尾纖(xian)(xian)。BOA1137P和(he)BOA1050P利用PM980-XP保(bao)偏光(guang)(guang)纖(xian)(xian),它的接頭鍵與慢軸對準,而(er)BOA1137S和(he)BOA1050S使用HI1060非保(bao)偏光(guang)(guang)纖(xian)(xian)。集(ji)成的制(zhi)冷片(pian)(TEC)使BOA可(ke)以(yi)進行溫度控制(zhi),以(yi)穩定增益和(he)光(guang)(guang)譜。
